چکیده
Abstract Recently, Cadophora luteo-olivacea has been reported as a post-harvest pathogen of side rot apple ( Malus domestica ) in Latvia, and pear Pyrus communis Italy the Netherlands. In 2018 2019, South Tyrol (northern Italy) 11 fungal cultures, identified C. based on ITS (internal transcribed spacer region) sequence data, were obtained from fruit displaying symptoms. The sampled packinghouses representing different growing areas Tyrol. For more accurate taxonomic assignment, two additional molecular genetic loci, β -tubulin (TUB2) translation elongation factor 1 α (TEF-1 ), seven isolates amplified sequenced. Phylogenetic analysis multi-locus DNA data confirmed that with symptoms indeed represented . A pathogenicity test performed ‘Golden Delicious’ virulence representative isolate. So far, represents minor but considering losses this fungus can cause to other crops, awareness about potential disease should be raised.

Triterpenes and Phenolic Compounds in Apple Fruit (Malus domestica Borkh.)
Apple (Malus × domestica Borkh.), a popular and widely cultivated fruit world-wide, contains bioactive triterpenes and phenolic compounds with potentially valuable pharmacological functions. This thesis investigated the effects of pre-harvest and postharvest factors on concentrations of these bioactive compounds in apples. It also studied the effect of ozone treatment, before or during storage,...
متن کاملGenomic Selection for Fruit Quality Traits in Apple (Malus×domestica Borkh.)
The genome sequence of apple (Malus×domestica Borkh.) was published more than a year ago, which helped develop an 8K SNP chip to assist in implementing genomic selection (GS). In apple breeding programmes, GS can be used to obtain genomic breeding values (GEBV) for choosing next-generation parents or selections for further testing as potential commercial cultivars at a very early stage. Thus GS...
متن کاملComprehensive QTL mapping survey dissects the complex fruit texture physiology in apple (Malus x domestica Borkh.).
Fruit ripening is a complex physiological process in plants whereby cell wall programmed changes occur mainly to promote seed dispersal. Cell wall modification also directly regulates the textural properties, a fundamental aspect of fruit quality. In this study, two full-sib populations of apple, with 'Fuji' as the common maternal parent, crossed with 'Delearly' and 'Pink Lady', were used to un...
متن کاملChilling Affects Phytohormone and Post-Embryonic Development Pathways during Bud Break and Fruit Set in Apple (Malus domestica Borkh.)
The availability of sufficient chilling during bud dormancy plays an important role in the subsequent yield and quality of apple fruit, whereas, insufficient chilling availability negatively impacts the apple production. The transcriptome profiling during bud dormancy release and initial fruit set under low and high chill conditions was performed using RNA-seq. The comparative high number of di...
متن کاملSpatial development of transport structures in apple (Malus × domestica Borkh.) fruit
The void network and vascular system are important pathways for the transport of gases, water and solutes in apple fruit (Malus × domestica Borkh). Here we used X-ray micro-tomography at various spatial resolutions to investigate the growth of these transport structures in 3D during fruit development of "Jonagold" apple. The size of the void space and porosity in the cortex tissue increased con...
